As part of the legislation recently signed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and the California state legislature requiring 33% of electricity come from renewable sources by 2020, Californians can most certainly expect a growth in wind farming. With such growth, large scale wind farms are going to need thousands of wind turbine technicians over the next several years. These technicians usually only need a few months of training or less and can provide a great opportunity for laid off workers from the manufacturing and construction sectors.
