Marijuana Legalization Debate

623

It is pretty evident that marijuana is not a hard drug and not much different than alcohol in terms of effects and potential consequences.  The war on drugs has been a colossal failure and waste of resources.  With access to alternative information on the Internet, California voters are waking up to the fact that the prohibition on marijuana it nonsensical and should be repelled.

California politics however tell us this won't be an easy feat with entrenched interests lobbying hard to protect their revenue sources.  With marijuana legal who is going to be left to buy Valium and all those other "mellowing" drugs that big pharma is pushing onto the masses.  Will people still drink 3-4 beers when they can take in a little pot?

This debate is about money plain and simple and has nothing to do with protecting people from themselves!

Anyway....here is a great debate from a a few months back on marijuana legalization.  ENJOY!
