Assemblyman Sam Blakeslee represents the 33rd district in the State Assembly. The district includes the communities of Santa Maria, San Luis Obispo, Lompoc, Atascadero, Paso Robles, Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach, Morro Bay, Pismo Beach, and Guadalupe.
Sam is the owner of Blakeslee and Blakeslee, an investment firm. He is known as a tough-minded fiscal conservative who believes his business experience can be valuable in helping to balance budgets and cut government waste.
Assemblyman Blakeslee also places importance on representing California's farmers, he realizes that they not only feed the state, but the rest of the world as well.
As a community activist in San Luis Obispo, Sam established the "Freedom Is Not Free" campaign in support of our troops.
Sam Blakeslee holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Geophysics from the University of California, Berkeley. He also holds a PhD in Geophysics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He currently resides in San Luis Obispo, where he and his wife Kara raise two young daughters.
