Are there even a lot of cars out there running on ethanol? The only one I heard of is that $100K+ BMW 7 series.

I agree, using a food source for fuel is not the best idea. Look at what is happening with food costs in Mexico. I think California should focus on solar not even bother with ethanol. Though other parts of the country don't have the sun light we do, I think they can get electricity using fuel diversity with a combination of wind, clean coal, and ethanol.

hmm, Is it 85 percent ethanol, mainly from corn? It is really stupid to use food like corn for fuel. There is a tree called "Jatropha tree" grows on southwestern Florida where the extracted seed oil becomes bio-diesel.

The govt. should realize and stop E85 to save our environment & Ozone layer.
