This goes back to immigration reform. As the previous comment stated, illegals provide a cheap labor pool and are a big part of our economy. We can't just deport them and go back to business as normal. They have already been integrated in the fabric of our economy. The only real solution to California's problems is immigration reform which allows for a percentage to automatically qualify for residency, others to pay fines and wait for residency, and for yet another portion to be sent back. All this has to be kept within a legalized framework.

The bottom line is that state still requires pension reform and immigration reform so that public funds aren't being sucked dry.

Nice write up! These look to be great jobs, but I would think that you can't just make a career switch that easily. Colleges are already offering degrees with emphasis on environmentally friendly practices and sustainability. Most likely you will need to go back to school to get in on these jobs.
Marijuana Should Be Legalized and Regulated Like Tobacco
Parents should not support this on the reasoning that kids are going to smoke less or that they are going to smoke safer pot. They should support it on the grounds it will reduce drug violence and provide more resources to preventing drug use. I would rather see all that money spent on incarcerating marijuana users and dealers put toward responsible use programs for children.
