Taxes Should Not Be Increased to Fix the California Budget Crisis
Everyone has to pay the price. This is a shared burden. How can you suggest that state workers have to take a pay cut and the rest of us don't need to pay higher taxes. Our budget is a complete disaster. I'm not happy about having to pay higher taxes, but I think that is one part of the equation to solving the problem.

I think this is just a sign of the times. With people and the media being more fragmented it is going to take more targeted efforts to reach votes and candidates will need to rely on niche consultants for various demographics.

Projects are already under way using the Obama stimulus money. The impact of those should be felt in the next few months. I also think there are further plans by the Obama administration to send additional funds to states for infrastructure. This should be very helpful to the state considering we are badly in need of repairs for roads and bridges.
